SMS opt-in consent
How Oh! Beef Noodle Soup asks for consent to send order texts, and how to stop them.
Overview
We send transactional order texts only to customers who opt in. Consent is a clear checkbox that starts unchecked, and the customer must tick it. Consent is not required to make a purchase.

I agree to receive SMS text messages from Oh Beef Noodle Soup regarding my order (confirmation & ready-for-pickup alerts). Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
Message types (transactional only)
We only send texts about a customer's own order. We do not send marketing, promotional or advertising texts.
- Order confirmation
- Sent right after the order is placed, with the order number.
- Ready for pickup
- Sent when the order is ready at the restaurant.
- Message frequency
- 1 to 2 messages per order: one confirmation and one ready notice.
Opt-in flow 1: guest checkout
On the payment page, when a guest enters a phone number, an unchecked checkbox appears for SMS updates. It is not pre-checked: the customer must tap it to consent. The phone number is optional, and SMS consent is not required to complete the purchase.
Opt-in flow 2: signed-in phone collection
Signed-in customers with no phone number on file see an optional prompt on the order confirmation page, after a successful payment, to add a number and consent to SMS updates. They can dismiss it with "Skip for now". A phone number is never required.
Opting out
Customers can opt out at any time:
- Reply STOP
- Text STOP to any message to unsubscribe at once. It is handled automatically.
- Reply HELP
- Text HELP for help and opt-out instructions.
- Write to orders@ohbeefnoodlesoup.com to be removed from the SMS list.
